Strike

Well hello everyone. I am in huaraz once again because i had to go to the bus station. there is a bus strike starting on monday. I was suppose to leave late tuesday night for lima. now i have to leave on sunday night. i will be leaving on the 11 bus for lima. be in prayer that everything will go fine. Two of the guys that were traveling with us cannot be contacted right now because where they are located is no phone or internet. I might have to go there with another team member myself to tell them. They do not know about it. we were able to change their tickets for them however. If worse comes to worse than a imb missionary will go and get them. So please be in prayer about this.

Also, much of the recuay people are really sad now. when we get back we have to tell them that we will be leaving sooner than planned. we had many activities planned for monday and tuesday that we have to now cancel. All this week though God has kept us busy as bees and we have not had a single moment to spare. We were able to share christ with the teacher that we were suppose to help on tuesday and many people just this week. We were all wondering why we were so busy. Now we know that it was just all according to plan, God{s plan. Sunday night is going to be a sad night for many people. Please be in prayer for this as well.

Today while walking in huaraz, i was able to experience the full third world experience. i had to walk through an open market. Boy did it stink bad. Never before had i seen anything like it. It was a bittersweet moment. Yesturday we spent our day with never a moment to spare. We awoke really early and headed for a school about 30 minutes away by foot. once there we talked with the teacher. the students did not show up because there was a festival in ticapompa. The teacher said that some students will go months without coming and then come. i am glad america is not that way. we were able to share christ with him while we talked. it was so neat. then on the way back, two older ladies stopped us and asked us some questions and we were able to share christ with them too. Then we went to work in pocrok which is a hour hike up a mountain. We worked alongside victor digging up more oka. While there we diffentely broke some rules. you are not suppose to eat things fresh out of the ground nor fruit without washing it. We did just that and it was good too. Once we finished oka we headed back down the mountain. Once back at home we wanted to fix dinner but didn{t have time because our kids were ready for the bible/english lesson. Which went wonderfully. The children were really sad to find out that it was going to be the last with us. We cheered them up by doing crafts though. it was a good experience. I am going to miss my kids from recuay.
